Hastings Museum & Art Gallery opens its newly revamped and extended gallery space with leading ‘brit art’ exponent Gary Hume. Gary Hume is best known for his striking and iconic work, based on elements of modern culture.
This new exhibition is the most up-to-date and comprehensive collection of Hume's work, entitled 'Angels, Flowers and Icons', the exhibition reworks a number of the artist's paintings in print, making them stunning, simple interpretations of the original works.
These new versions also give a new lease of life to Hume's fully-illustrated catalogue, the first publication to document all Gary Hume's prints together, which will be on sale at the exhibition.
